Urban Beauty Online Background

Urban Beauty Online started out in 2001 originally as Ethnic Beauty on the now defunct WebSeed Network. I initially started it as website that educated women of color about proper skin care, makeup and hair care. But with the explosion of blogs and the tremendous growth of other fashion,beauty and culture blogs targeted for women of color I decided to change my business model to one that would have me able to highlight these sites instead of compete with them. Hence the birth of the new Urban Beauty Online. Beyond highlighting sites, companies and products made for and by women of color Urban Beauty Online features products made by companies that are inclusive because they see fit to make products that are right for us too.
