Review: Iman Global Chic vs. Global Goddess | “Faces of Beautiful You Episode 5: Merry Mascaras”
Iman has created a new line of accessories for HSN. To go along with the global inspired handbags, bangles and shoes are a signature cosmetic line designed to bring her beauty point of view to the masses. I received her Gold Long & Lush Mascara to review along with another beautiful woman of color Shalini Vahera’s mascara from her line Global Goddess. But first my thoughts on Iman’s mascara.
Iman Global Chic Signature Gold Long & Lush Mascara
Iman’s Long & Lush mascara tube is long and two-sided so it provides awesome options if you have puny barely there lashes or full eyelashes that are short. One side is a comb that bring lashes to life. This brush is perfect at making thin lashes long and visible. The comb is also small enough to separate lower lashes without leaving any mascara on your lower lid. The other side has a volumizing brush that extends and lengthens those lashes once they are separated by the comb.
The mascara is also quite nice it didn’t smudge nor leave my lashes feeling hard and didn’t irritate my eyes at all. Is it the best mascara I’ve ever used? No, but I do like that fact that it has two brushes so that your able to customize your lashes based on the look you want to achieve.

Global Goddess Exotic Eyes Blackest Black Mascara
Shalini Vahera, celebrity makeup artist, author and creator of Global Goddess is a first generation Indian-American bringing exotic ingredients and traditions to the western world in her cosmetics. I was really excited to try this mascara because it contains Japanese Camellia Oil, Indian Mowrah Butter, African Beeswax, Fibiron and Carbon Black.
The wand has a very full brush that is turned up on the ends and the mascara like the name of the product is very black. I already have black eyelashes but this really darkened them and made them almost look like fake lashes. The brush encourages curling and gives lashes a fan like appearance.
It’s perfect for those who have great lashes that just want to curl and accentuate them. The only drawback is to not apply too much. This mascara does not dry out or leave your lashes stiff; in fact I think it’s the oil and butter that keeps lashes moisturized and pliable but applying too much ended up smudging on my lower lid.
I have to admit when given the choice between the two I chose to use the Global Goddess on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong I like Iman’s mascara but for my lashes the Global Goddess mascara makes them look so good.
Want beautiful, bountiful lashes then go ahead and get both and try them out for yourself.
